5 weeks early - Born June 29th at 4:19am 5 lbs 1 oz 17 1/2 inches. She spent a 5 days in the NICU to make sure her lungs were developed enough. She only needed help for about 24 hours and then she could breath on her own. We both came home on Friday July 3rd. Zach loves his baby sister and he is always worried about her. He is going to be the best big brother! He loves to throw her diapers away for me and give her kisses on the head. We took her to the Dr today for a one week check up and she had gained a few ounces already and the Doc thought she looked great we go back next week. We are all doing great considering that we were not ready at all! Thanks to Rhett for pulling a few all nighters to make sure the house was ready for us to come home! Thanks to the Grandma and Grandpas for helping out with Zach the past week and for running out to buy preemie clothes so Madison would have something to wear Also thanks to everyone that came to the hospital! we love you all--

Easter 2009!!
This year Zach knew what to do on easter. A few days before we started telling him that the Easter Bunny was going to come and hide eggs and when he woke up that morning he could go and find them. He woke up and ran from his room saying "eser, ester!" He loved finding all the eggs and opening each one to find a prize. His favorite thing was the Golf Clubs! (Sorry the pictures are not in order.)

It's a Girl!!
I Know, I know I am the worlds worst blogger. I thought I would just make a quick post. Most of you know that we are expecting baby #2 !! So I am a few weeks passed the half way mark! My due date is Aug.3.2009 but will have a c-section in late July! This pregnancy has been way different than the last go around! We are very excited and have been trying to teach Zach to say baby sister! He is getting so big and can say so many new things. Recently he said his first sentance! "Put me down Mom!" He is starting to like movies and he loves to be outside.

Haircut
Today Jodie and I took Zach to get a haircut at 'all about you salon' in Salem and Zach did awesome getting his haircut. He didn't cry or have any problems holding still even though he was a little nervous during the haircut. So when we made it home after buying him the treat he was promised Zach and I built a popsicle stick house as you can in the picture. As Zach would hand me the next popsicle stick he would act like he was getting the last bite of popsicle off the stick look me in the eyes and say num-num before handing me the next stick. I should have counted the popsicle sticks to see how many times this happened but I laughed every time he would say num-num. Simple story but it was the best part of my day.

Christmas
Christmas was great this year because Zach had an understanding of what to do with the presents, however, he would open a present and want to play with that present rather than opening more. He was a lot of fun and he slept until I woke him up at 9:00 AM. I am sure that will change when he gets a little older.

Our New House
I thought this picture was interesting because the county has updated their records prior to our house even being complete or having final inspection scheduled. We did move in ten days later but the county was a step ahead of us 'assessing' the tax value. This is the picture they have on file for the tax value of our house.

Moving Day
After 3 months and 26 days our house passed the final inspection today and we have moved into our new house. We haven't found a place for all of our stuff yet but we have the beds in place and food in the fridge. The contractor we worked with, Clive T. Roundy and his son Brent Roundy that ran the project were awesome. We were able to get the home we wanted in a short amount of time and we stayed on budget on the project.
We love our new house and hope to have everything set up the way we want it in a few more days. We are spending the night here for the first time and we moved for the last time. Zach is doing great with the change and I think that is because he spent so much time here during construction. Thanks to the Roundy's and all the other contractors that worked on our house for doing a fabulous job building our home.

House Progress: Stucco Stone Cabinets and Flooring
The house is on schedule and almost on budget. The flooring has been installed with the exception of the carpet which will be installed this week. The cabinets are nearly complete and the exterior only needs a railing around the deck and covers for the window wells. The countertops are being prepared and hopefully be installed this week. The house is nearly complete and we are very excited to move in soon.

Summer has come to an end....
Since summer has come to an end and we are almost done building our house I have found some time to post some pictures of our summer!! Zach has had a blast being outside all the time, I think that he would live out there if we would let him. He loves to throw rocks and dirt, swing and go down the slide. He also loves to read books (his favorite is Polar Bear, Polar Bear) but really any book will do, he loves to throw balls and ride his horse. At dinner time he eats all by himself we give him a fork or spoon and he gets about half in his mouth and half flipped on his head or the floor. We took him to his 15 month well check last week and he weighs 26.5 lbs, 32 inches tall and he has 11 teeth! Our Baby Boy is now a Big Boy! Does anyone know how to hit the slowmotion button! They grow way too fast!!
He got a slide for his 1st Birthday!
This June we went to Palisade State Park camping with the Davis Family! It was so much fun.
Zach just hangin out in the stroller!
Swimming in his baby pool!
Swinging at Grandma and Grandpa Davis' house!
